NEW MENU UNVEILED We have launched the new Summer Menu and are tremendously happy with the response it has received in the first week. We have tried to build upon our usual Modern English menu with the addition of some more...unusual dishes! See what you think! |

Tuesday 1st July – Quiz Night The quiz has been slightly sidelined by the fact that we have been so busy on Tuesday nights – especially when 20:20 cricket is on but....it’s back in July!! If you feel quizzes should have at least one round where anyone can excel, slightly obscure categories, free snacks at half-time and a bit of banter we will all have a bit more entertainment! All the entry fee (£1/person) goes into the pot for the winners and we’ll throw-in some other stuff as well. |

Euro 2008 We’ll be showing all the games from the Quarter Finals onwards either on a screen in the main bar or, in one of the back rooms (limited seating so get here early!). Below you will see the dates and my personal guess as to who will be playing! Thursday 19th: Portugal v Germany (MAIN BAR) |

Christmas Menu Finalised I always feel slightly absurd when I start advertising the Christmas Menu in June but we’re getting so many enquiries that I thought it was time to put the Christmas menu on the site. Redecoration As you can clearly see from the picture, Benny and Barry are “hard at work” redecorating the outside of The Rec. In an effort not to let the City down I’ve been scouring the record books and am taking the exterior back (as close as I can) to the original scheme. So...please, no more comments about undercoat etc etc |
